GreenWorks Land and Tree Care has been part of the Tampa Bay community for over 20 years. Jarrod, the original owner, built the business the old-fashioned way, through word of mouth, showing up on time, and doing good work for neighbors who told other neighbors. When he moved out of state, he didn't want to see what he'd built disappear. So he passed it on.
GreenWorks is now under new ownership through our sister company, Whitmer's Property Maintenance, a local family operation out of Plant City. When the opportunity came up, it felt like a natural match. Same community, same values, same kind of work. We kept the name, the crew, and the phone number. What we added was fresh energy, expanded capabilities, and the same commitment to doing this work right that GreenWorks has always been known for.
Our Philosophy
Here's something we'll say upfront: we don't like cutting down trees.
We'll do it when it needs to be done, when a tree is genuinely hazardous, diseased beyond recovery, or has to come down for a build. But we're not the crew that shows up looking for reasons to remove. If there's a way to trim it, prune it, cable it, or care for it so it stays standing, that's what we'll tell you, even if it means a smaller job for us.
We also like to educate. If you've got a question about what's growing on your property, what it needs, or whether that leaning oak is actually a problem, ask us. We'd rather spend five minutes explaining something than have you worry about it for months.
